Next on the Dreadfleet painting-fest is the measure. The paint scheme they use on the pack requires a bone and gold finish. I painted the whole thing shining gold (old GW range paint) and it came up a treat! On a white undercoat, I did need to give it 2 coats, but that was still easier than the alternatives. I then used a wash to give the gold more depth.
Finally, I painted the background to the colours using a mix of white and tinting it with the blue wash. The result is a pale baby blue. I have to go over the gold again and dry brush it shining gold again.
